Privacy Policy

The short version

Omit apps run entirely on your Windows machine. They do not send your documents, your detections, or your redactions anywhere. There is no account to create, no cloud processing, and no telemetry. This website collects only what is needed to answer a message you choose to send us.

What the Omit apps collect

Nothing is transmitted. All detection and redaction happen locally on your device. The files you process stay on your device, and originals are never modified because output is written to separate files.

License activation uses offline cryptographic keys. It does not require an account and does not need a network connection. On the Microsoft Store, the app declares no network capability at all, which you can verify on the listing.

What this website collects

The website at omitsys.com handles only two kinds of information, and only when you choose to interact with it:

• Messages you send. If you email us or use a form on the site, we receive the address and the message you provide, so that we can reply. Form submissions are delivered through a form-processing provider that handles the message on our behalf.
• Standard server logs. Like most websites, our host records technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability. We do not run advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use the information only to respond to you and to operate and secure the site. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it except with the service providers that help us run the website and deliver email, and only so they can perform that task for us.

Retention

We keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep reasonable business records, then we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@omitsys.com. Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR give you these rights, and we honor them regardless of where you are.

Children

Omit is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top of the page.
