Omit MeetComing soonBot-free meeting recording with offline notes.
Omit Meet records mic and system audio, transcribes and diarizes on-device, and drafts an AI summary without a meeting bot or the cloud. Redact before you export or push to Obsidian.
It is in progress. There is nothing to download yet, and we will not put a date on it.
Omit captures mic and system audio directly. No third-party bot joins your call.
Speech-to-text and speaker separation run on-device. Rename speakers with a click.
Summaries, decisions, and action items are drafted locally, with owners on each to-do.
Start stays disabled until you confirm consent. A floating pill shows when capture is live.
Scrub PII from the transcript and notes, then export or push to an Obsidian vault.
Every meeting stays on your machine, searchable, with status at a glance.

Where teams rely on it
Supported formats
| Category | Formats | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Meeting platforms | Any platform producing system audio | Zoom, Teams, Meet, Webex and anything else. Capture is at the system audio level, so no integration or browser extension is needed and no bot joins the call. |
| Recording output | WAV, M4A | The recording stays on your machine. Unlike tools that delete audio after transcription, you can go back to what was actually said. |
| Transcript and notes | TXT, DOCX, MD, SRT | Diarized by speaker, with offline summaries and transcript redaction in the same pass. |
What Omit Meet does not do
Every tool has a boundary. Finding ours after you buy would be worse than reading it here, so here it is.
No live collaboration
There are no real-time shared notes, comments or co-editing. If your team works inside a shared document during the call, Otter and Granola do that well and Meet does not do it at all.
Diarization is imperfect on crosstalk
Speaker separation works well on turn-taking conversation and degrades when people talk over each other, which is a hard problem for every system.
No calendar or CRM integrations
Deliberately standalone. Nothing syncs to Notion, Slack or HubSpot, because those integrations are network paths and the product does not have any.
Windows is the only platform available now
macOS is coming soon and there is no Linux build.
No cloud, no accounts, no telemetry.
Output goes to new _redacted files.
Uncertain? Omit refuses rather than leaks.
Pull the network cable, it still works.
One engine, everywhere your data moves
